Huami has expanded the range of Amazfit GTR & GTS lineup with 2e editions in the global market. The Amazfit GTS 2e & GTR 2e has entered into the international market with a low price tag. Both the watches have launched in China and now, the major countries like the US & India will get it this month. In a quick spec, the company has cut out Wi-Fi connectivity from both editions to minimize the prices. It is recommendable, if you are looking for Wi-Fi on these watches, then you should go with regular variants.
The major upgrade to the GTS 2e & GTR 2e is its GPS, SpO2 & heart rate monitoring features. Both models will not get 3GB of memory storage to save the music, instead, you can only control the music. The microphone is also gone and also the premium design. As a result, with the same battery power, you will get 14 days of life on a single charge. Of course, by abandoning, Wi-Fi, music storage, microphone, and 9-axis accelerometer, you can expect better battery life.
In the CES event, Huami further mentioned, the company will soon launch an LTE variant for its Amazfit GTR 2 smartwatch. Huami doesn’t have too much army in the LTE model, so it would be nice to see a major upgrade on the popular watch. The Amazfit GTS 2e & GTR 2e will soon available to get in the US & India. In India, it could be priced at below Rs. 10,000. The upper models have priced at Rs. 12,999, so the Rs. 10,000 is a fair price.
