Fossil is taking a little longer time to introduce its next Gen 6 smartwatch. In the current year, when we were expecting Fossil Gen 6, the company has launched the Gen 5e model. Though now, the new listing in the FCC database has revealed much about the upcoming Fossil smartwatch. The device that appeared in the FCC database has the model number C1NF1, which has already bagged Bluetooth certification. The leaker site GoAndroid claims it is the next-gen premium Fossil smartwatch that will run on Wear OS by Google platform.
The leaked documents shows, the next wearable will get the LTE variant, and also we can make a wireless payment using NFC technology. Google has recently released a new Wear OS update that can reduce battery consumption by 20%, so users can use LTE connectivity for a longer time. We can also see the Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity. Apart from that, it reveals the battery will be powered by APP00310 that has 2.85Vdc, and a 0.4Ah power rating. It is the only information we have successfully gathered from the FCC database and the source website.
If we go with the previous leaks, then the Fossil Gen 6 would get the power of the Qualcomm Snapdragon Wear 4100 chipset. It will come with a circular design and the basic Google services like Google Pay, Google Play, Google Fit, and the others will be part of it. We can expect to see the official release date for Fossil Gen 6 smartwatch in January.
