Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold 3 might launch next year with an under-display camera (UDC) solution sensor. It will be the first smartphone of the company to have this kind of camera. It is not the first time this camera sensor has come into the market the brand ZTE Axon 20 5G is already offering a smartphone with this feature and another brand namely Xiaomi is also soon coming up with its third-gen smartphone using the same camera sensor.
Samsung has already made a huge improvement in its selfie camera display. It is having a circular hole-punch cut-out in its last smartphone called the Galaxy Z Fold 2 which launched in September. Compared to the Galaxy Fold that was launched earlier having a very noticeable camera cut out in front. The new smartphone already created a buzz as it’s likely to get a lot of new features like CUP (Camera under Panel), S Pen to name a few.
For those who don’t know much about this UDC camera solution. It means that the phone will have its front camera under the screen, giving you a full display and a very elegant look without the cut-out of the camera on the top. This will eliminate the need for a notch, bezel, or cut-out to cover up the selfie camera lens.
Though much hasn’t been revealed yet by the company, the rumors have it that the new foldable smartphone might also come with a light strip on its hinge. The company is also said to be working on its image correction algorithm, and might even use a special display from its Samsung Display. The company is gearing up to beat all its competitors next year with these new technologies lined up already.
