Huawei might be coming up with its new smartwatch running on HarmonyOS next year. The Watch GT 2 Pro has recently launched a few months back has a 1.39-inch AMOLED display with a 454×454 pixels resolution. It came in two variant pricing at EUR 329 (approx Rs. 28,600) for the Sport variant and EUR 349 (approx. Rs. 30,400) for the Classic variant. It came in two color options Nebula Grey and Night Black color and fast wireless charging.
Coming back to the new smartwatch by the company which was to be launched by the end of the year will probably be coming next year. We believe that it won’t be having the same specifications as its predecessor but will have a completely new design to it. At a recent Huawei Developer Conference the company had announced the release of HarmonyOS 2.0 SDK for IoT devices including smartwatches.
The GT 2 Pro has 14-day battery life and features a heart rate monitor with various other sensors like GPS, accelerometer, gyroscope, geomagnetic sensor, ambient light sensor, air pressure sensor, capacitive sensor, and an optical heart rate sensor. It has 4GB of storage for all your songs and playlist and has Bluetooth 5.1 for connectivity. It also has 5ATM water resistance and will work with Android 4.4 or above and iOS 9.0 or above.
According to the source, the developers in China have already started developing applications for the new software so probably the watch will launch first there and then will be available for various other markets. Let’s see how does the new HarmonyOS 2.0 work with the new smartwatch of the company.
