Galaxy S23 Series Upgraded to August Security Patch

Samsung has released a more stable August security patch for the Galaxy S23 series in South Korea, along with the mid-range Galaxy S23 FE smartphone. In the latest firmware version, Samsung tackled previously found bugs and errors in existing code and fixed them to improve the service experience. For your information, Galaxy S23, S23+ & S23 Ultra see a new firmware number S918NKSS6DYG8 in South Korea. The software is built on One UI 7, and One UI 8 is in progress and could be released in the next few weeks.

The changelog only mentions upgrading the security of the devices and stabilizing the code. It indicates to settle down previously found critical errors in the code. As per the company, it has taken care of 1 critical and 21 high-level security risks from Android’s June software update. Galaxy S23 FE has the same changelog, so don’t ask for any new features.

Galaxy S23 Ultra August Update

Both smartphones were recently spotted with the One UI 8 software build. We are not sure if Galaxy S23 will join the beta testing program or only receive stable firmware this month. To install the new August security patch on these smartphones, head to Settings and see if there is any pending software to download. The new patch will take some time to reach other countries.
