Apple Watch Could Bring Blood Pressure Feature Next Year

August 16, 2025

According to a new rumor, Apple is preparing significant hardware, software, and design upgrades for its upcoming Apple Watch 11 series & Watch Ultra 3. The source claims the next watches will come with a blood pressure feature. While not intended for full medical-grade measurements, the feature will reportedly track long-term blood pressure trends and send alerts when abnormal fluctuations are detected. This new BP function will make Apple Watch one of the best health trackers in the market, as Galaxy Watch users have had it for years.

Another potential addition is blood glucose monitoring, though the report stresses that the feature still faces some obstacles. Though it may come to the Apple Watch, it needs many clearances from the authoritative body, which may delay or limit its initial implementation.

The analysis also suggests that the new Apple Watch will include twice as many sensors compared to the current Apple Watches. While details remain unclear, this shift would reduce Apple’s reliance on algorithm-driven data interpretation and instead capture more direct measurements. As a result, users could see better accuracy, improved battery efficiency, and overall performance gains.

On the design front, DigiTimes hints at a major redesign for next year’s Apple Watch Series 11 & Watch Ultra 3. Apple is reportedly rethinking the overall look and structure of the upcoming smartwatches, potentially making it the most visually distinct Apple Watch in years. With these upgrades, Apple appears to be doubling down on turning its smartwatch into a more powerful health-monitoring tool while refining performance and design.
