Apple may not launch Regular iPhone 18 Next Year

August 18, 2025

After launching the iPhone 17 series phones this year, obviously, Apple will turn to the next iPhone 18 series. The launch date for the regular iPhone 18 is 2026, but as per the new report, it may not happen next year. The new source suggests that Apple is planning a major change to its iPhone lineup strategy. The company is expected to move away from its traditional single annual iPhone launch and adopt a two-part release schedule starting in 2027. This shift will not only bring more flexibility to Apple’s product cycle but also help boost sales throughout the year.

The transition will begin with the much-rumored foldable iPhone, which is set to make its debut in 2026. However, the launch of this groundbreaking model will reportedly cause a one-time delay for the regular iPhone 18 series. Instead of arriving in September as usual, the iPhone 18 could be pushed back to align with Apple’s new strategy. The other iPhone 18 Air, Pro, and Pro Max models will be announced as per the scheduled plan, which is in September next year.

iPhone 18 Launch Date

From 2027 onward, Apple’s iPhone releases will be divided into two halves. In the first half of the year, Apple will introduce affordable iPhones and regular models. In the second half, Apple will focus on its flagship lineup, including the iPhone Pro models, Ultra versions, and the foldable iPhone.

Analysts believe this change could significantly benefit Apple. The rumored iPhone 18 delay in 2026 may be a temporary setback, but the long-term plan highlights Apple’s ambition to redefine the smartphone market with foldable technology.
