iPhone 16e, with the surprise, became one of the best affordable iPhones in the market. With its noticeable features, Apple managed to make a space in the entry-level segment. Now, as per the sources, it is working on the next iPhone, the iPhone 17e. According to the latest report, the iPhone 17e will feature a 6.1-inch OLED display, likely the same 60Hz refresh rate that Apple used on the iPhone 16. This suggests Apple is focusing on efficiency and cost optimization while maintaining premium build quality.
The device will continue with the familiar Smart Island design, making it the twin brother of the iPhone 17 models. Under the hood, however, the iPhone 17e won’t compromise on performance. It is expected to be powered by Apple’s next-gen A19 processor, promising better speed and performance than the iPhone 16e.
On the camera front, the iPhone 17e could be a big step up from Apple’s entry-level models. Leaks suggest it will pack a 12MP front camera with 3D facial recognition, offering the same secure Face ID system as flagship models. At the back, Apple may equip it with a powerful 48MP rear camera, enabling sharper photos, improved low-light performance, and high-resolution video capture.
With all these solid features, iPhone 17e will likely maintain its positioning as the cheapest iPhone in the series, offering a balance of performance, camera quality, and Apple’s signature ecosystem. Apple will launch it in the first half of next year with the same price as the iPhone 16e.
