As promised last week, Samsung is now releasing its latest One UI 8 Beta update for the Galaxy S25 series. The update comes with the firmware version ZYH6 and brings the August 2025 security patch. It is heavy software that weighs around 1.7GB, making it a major release with numerous bug fixes and system enhancements. It could be the last beta version before it hits a stable version in the next few days.
One of the key highlights of the update is the fix for hotspot connection errors, ensuring smoother internet sharing across devices. Samsung has also worked on improving the lock screen clock font size issue, which previously appeared smaller than intended. For S Pen users, the company has resolved the Air Command exception, offering a more seamless and reliable stylus experience.

The update for the Galaxy S25 series further refines the quick settings and notification panel, and another important fix comes to the Security Folder, where Samsung has modified the behavior of screen captures to avoid unexpected exceptions. In-camera, it has improved post-processing, particularly correcting the purple color issue that appeared when shooting with the 100x zoom moon mode.
Other fixes include resolving problems with the DND mode initialization and the issue of the Now Brief briefing disappearing. Samsung has also updated several of its native apps to ensure smoother integration with One UI 8, leading to better system performance and stability overall.
Along with Galaxy S25, the Galaxy S24, Fold 6 & Flip 6 users are also testing the One UI 8 beta version. Galaxy S25 series users can check for the update under Settings > Software Update.
