Leaked Video Shows M5 iPad Pro with Faster Chip, Higher RAM

October 2, 2025

Russian YouTube channel Wylsacom, with more than 11.5 million subscribers, has posted a video claiming to show an unreleased M5 iPad Pro. The device in question is a 13-inch iPad Pro with 256GB storage, and while its external design is nearly identical to the current M4 version, the internals suggest a notable performance leap. The unboxing reveals packaging that closely mirrors the M4 iPad Pro’s box, with the only immediate difference being the chip designation.

Interestingly, the new model’s box lacks the usual regulatory information on the back, possibly indicating that this is a pre-release unit not intended for retail. One surprise inside the box is a 45W charger, compared to the 20W charger bundled with the M4, alongside a color-matched charging cable. On powering up, the device is recognized separately from the M4 in the Settings app, confirming its M5 branding.

Running Geekbench 6 benchmarks, the M5 scores 4,133 in single-core tests and 15,437 in multi-core, compared to the M4’s 3,748 and 13,324. GPU performance also sees a major jump, with Metal scores increasing from 55,702 to 74,568. Memory has been boosted as well, with the M5 model offering 12GB RAM, up from 8GB in the M4. Despite the internal upgrades, no design changes are immediately visible. The rumored dual-camera setup is absent, with the same camera system as the M4 still in place.

This isn’t the first time Wylsacom has surfaced such a leak. In October 2024, the channel shared an unboxing of the M4 MacBook Pro ahead of its launch, which later proved authentic despite early skepticism. Given Apple’s absence in the Russian market, it’s possible the M5 iPad Pro was acquired via parallel imports. While unconfirmed, the video adds weight to speculation that Apple’s next iPad Pro is already in circulation.
