Galaxy Watch 9, Watch Ultra 2, and Tab S12 Spotted in IMEI Database

February 2, 2026

While much of the attention remains focused on the upcoming Galaxy S26 series, Samsung is already laying the groundwork for its next wave of flagship wearables and tablets. New listings spotted in the GSMA IMEI database have revealed early evidence of the Galaxy Watch 9, Galaxy Watch Ultra 2, Galaxy Tab S12+, and Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra, offering a rare look at Samsung’s future plans well ahead of launch.

The database entries, first uncovered by Smartprix, confirm that the Galaxy Watch 9 carries the model number SM-L345U, while the Galaxy Watch Ultra 2 appears as SM-L716U. The Galaxy Watch 9 is expected to further refine Samsung’s existing smartwatch formula rather than reinvent it. Design changes are likely to be minimal, with Samsung focusing instead on improved health monitoring features, better power efficiency, and longer battery life to enhance everyday usability.

The appearance of the Watch Ultra 2 is particularly notable, as it signals Samsung’s continued commitment to the rugged smartwatch segment. Following the debut of its first Ultra-branded watch, the second-generation model is expected to build on durability-focused elements, potentially introducing tougher materials, more accurate GPS tracking, and deeper outdoor and fitness-oriented features aimed at athletes and adventure users.

Galaxy Watch 9 Spotted

On the tablet side, the IMEI database lists the Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra 5G with model number SM-X946B and the Galaxy Tab S12+ 5G as SM-X846B. Interestingly, there is no sign of a standard Galaxy Tab S12. Last year, Samsung streamlined its tablet lineup by dropping the Plus variant, but this leak suggests a shift back toward a more premium-focused strategy. The return of the Plus model alongside the Ultra, while omitting an entry-level flagship, points to a sharper, high-end tablet lineup.

Historically, Samsung devices appear in IMEI databases around six to seven months before launch. Based on this pattern, these upcoming tablets and smartwatches could be unveiled at a Galaxy Unpacked event around July 2026, possibly alongside the next-generation foldables later in the year.
