The South Korean giant has started rolling out a new firmware update for the Galaxy Tab S11 series, marking the first update of 2026. The rollout has begun in South Korea and is currently confirmed for the Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra, with the standard Tab S11 expected to follow soon. Initially, the software was released for the Galaxy Tab A9 series, and now it is expanding to other tablets as well.
The update package is around 635MB in size and includes the January 2026 Android security patch. The new firmware version ends with the AZA7 build tag, and in the case of the Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra, it carries the version number X930XXU4AZA7. Interestingly, this versioning suggests the update could be more substantial than a typical monthly security release.

However, according to the changelog shared by a Galaxy Tab S11 user on the official community forums, the update officially lists only improved security as its change. No new features or visible optimizations have been mentioned so far, so don’t expect too much from the current software code.
Samsung is expected to expand the rollout to more regions globally in the coming days. Users can manually check for the update by going to Settings, then Software update, and tapping Download and install.
