After the last update, many users are now facing a delayed notifications issue, where the smartwatches are failing to deliver call and app alerts on time. The users of all the Galaxy Watches, including Galaxy Watch 4 to Watch 7, & Watch 8, are witnessing this problem. Now, the company has officially acknowledged an issue with delayed notifications arriving on the smartwatch. According to the company, the problem affects the Galaxy Watch 7 & Watch 8 models, where notifications from connected smartphones do not appear on the watch in real time.
Actually, the issue is not limited to these two watches, nor only South Korean users, but also with Galaxy Watch 4, Watch 5 & Watch 6 users in other countries. I have also experiencing it on my Galaxy Watch since the recent January update. In some cases, alerts arrive several minutes late, reducing the usefulness of the smartwatch for calls, messages, and app notifications. In a recent statement on Samsung Community, the company member has apologized to users for the inconvenience caused by this issue and confirmed that a fix is already in development.

The company has assured customers that the delayed notification problem will be addressed through a new software update scheduled for release in the first quarter of the year. Delayed notifications can significantly impact the smartwatch experience, especially for users who rely on their watch for timely alerts while riding a bike, doing workouts, attending meetings, or when their phone is not easily accessible.
Apart from that, the developer will also fix other minor issues, like the watch face border area and others. While Samsung has not shared a specific rollout date, Q1 updates typically arrive gradually across regions. It could be released next week, or we have to wait for the whole month for it.
