Huami announced that it will launch the latest Amazfit Smart Sport Watch 3 in China on 27th August. This is confirmed by Huang Wang when the company posted a theme “Run, Amazfit! Run!.” The theme is inspired by the movie Forrest Gump. From the tagline, we can guess that the upcoming smartwatch will be another addition to the company’s fitness focussed products lineup. Further, the company released the teaser of upcoming wearable on Weibo.
Last week Huami’s VP shared an official image of the upcoming smartwatch. According to the render upcoming model looks similar to the Apple Watch, as it features a curved screen. On the aspect of pixel density, the wearable is expected to overtake Apple Watch with 341PPI AMOLED screen against Apple’s 326PPI.
Also, it features identical color options like Apple watch and expected to debut in gold finish embedded within a pink strap. Amazfit Smart Sports Watch 3 will compete with Apple Watch Series 4 or upcoming Watch Series 5.

The Huami has also shared an image of its retail box of the upcoming smartwatch with running shoes, T-Shirts and the launch invite that clearly mentions the date August 27. The few lucky customers will get these all goodies free with a new Smart Sport Watch 3.
At present, there are no details about the features being packed with the upcoming smartwatch. Even we have no idea about whether the features like ECG monitoring and fall detection will be available or not.
As the Amazfit Smart Sports Watch aspires to compete with Apple Watches, it should be incorporated with some advanced technology and features. It is interesting to know whether Huami could manage to offer these features at a cheaper price compared to Apple watch.
This is a successor of last year’s Amazfit Smart Sports Watch 2 and predicted to be compatible with extra specifications. It is expected to come with improved internal specifications, Bluetooth 5.0 connectivity, 5ATM water resistance and longer battery life. However, to get the details about the model we have to wait until the official announcement.
