Huami will launch two new smartwatches on December 1st in China. The Amazfit GTS 2 Mini & Amazfit Pop Pro are the two variants to come out in the market. The first GTS 2 Mini will be a lowered version of GTS 2, and the latter is an upgraded variant of Amazfit Pop. The Mini model was spotted in the FCC listing along with GTR 2 Mini, so I guess the other options will soon available. The Pop Pro is known as Amazfit Bip U Pro in the overseas market and the company revealed itself on the official website in India.
The leaked images on Weibo hints GTS 2 Mini has stopped chasing Apple Watch design, but now, it is after the Fitbit Versa family. The square-shaped design is much familiar with Fitbit Versa 3 than Apple Watch Series 6. To reduce the price, Huami could subtract some features from the mini version, and possibly GPS, Wi-Fi, internal storage, mic & speaker could be a few of those features. On the opposite side, the company will upgrade Pop Pro with GPS, NFC, microphone, Geomagnetic sensor, and 60+ sports modes.
The price for Pop Pro or Amazfit Bip U pro will be higher than the regular Bip U, and GTS 2 Mini will see a price drop than the GTS 2. These are the early features we have spotted on Weibo account of Huami. On December 1st, the company might surprise us with some new features. As the FCC database opens Amazfit GTS 2e & GTR 2e smartwatch names, we could see more wearables in the coming months.
