Samsung rolled out the Android Pie update for its Galaxy A9 Star in China, for Galaxy A9 Pro in South Korea and Galaxy Tab A 10.5 (2018) in the UK. The firmware version for the Galaxy A9 Star is G8858ZMU3BSEB with the security patch of May 2019 and weighs 1714.93MB in size. The Galaxy Tab A 10.5 2018 version is another tablet to receive the Pie version with the T595OXM3BSF3 firmware version, luckily with the June 2019 security patch. The latest update is rolled out in the UK for the LTE model and it will be rolled out in other regions in a few days or weeks.
Update for Galaxy A9 Pro carries firmware version G887NKSU1BSE2 and it is 1577.93MB in size. The Galaxy A9 Pro is known as Galaxy A8s in the world market. The Galaxy A9 Star is the nickname used by the company for the Chinese market and in the rest of the regions, it is known as Galaxy A8 Star. It’s a bigger deal that several Samsung smartphones are getting Android Pie update in respective regions and globally. Switch to the latest Android version adds extra features to these devices.
The most significant change by this version is that it brings Samsung’s latest One UI to these smartphones. Other important aspects are an improvement in battery performance with adaptive battery features, the optimized camera features, enhanced navigation gestures and night mode.
