Do you think Apple Watches are not for the athletes like Garmin watches? Yes, it is true for many users, who use most of their watch in outdoor activities. Apple Watch is the dominant player in the international market but never launched a rugged watch. That may change soon. As per a report, Apple is planning to make its own rugged Apple Watch for athletes and outdoor users. Garmin is still king in this segment. It’s all smartwatches like Fenix 6X Pro, Forerunner 945, Swim 2, and more target athletes.
The report has come from Bloomberg from the inside source, and highly sure about the news. Apple never tried to make tough watches. Samsung & Huami have launched new watches in this category. Samsung has introduced Galaxy Watch 3 with military standards and a robust design. Huami is one step ahead with its Amazfit T-Rex & T-Rex Pro devices. Both Amazfit watches looks like the copy of Garmin watches, but the design meet that standard. Casio’s G-Shawk watches are also present in robust design.
To launch the new Apple Watch with a rugged design, Apple has to make changes in the current body. It will have to use a rubber casing instead of aluminum & stainless steel. The sources also claim the new Explorer Edition is also in making. It could launch along with Apple Watch Series 7 or Series 8. The next Apple Watch could launch this September with, blood pressure, Glucose, body temperature, and many more functions.
