The new report from IDC has revealed the new wearable market share numbers for Q3, 2019. The report says, Apple, Xiaomi & Samsung has dominated the third quarter of this year. Apple is the clear winner with tremendous growth, thanks to the new Apple Watch Series 5 & newly released Airpods. The hearables helped Apple to witness such growth in the market. The increase for hearable products has increased 242.4% over the year, beating other wearable products.
Apple saw a 195% climb in the third period and the Xiaomi gained 66% market share in the same period. The steady growth for Mi Band 4 & the continuous journey of last year’s Mi Band 3 helped Xiaomi reach the goal. The Chinese company has now captured 17% market share in the wearable market and the newly launched Mi Watch may help it in the international market.
The other Chinese company, Huawei is also in the race with 202% year on year growth. The Huawei Watch GT & GT2 are the two smartwatches in the market that drives some market sales for the company. The Fitbit is on the 5th position with the slowest 0.5% steady increment. The Realme has introduced Realme Buds & Huawei has come up with its hearables so we might see some movements in the chart for the current quarter.
