Just after hitting Android’s August 1st security patch to the Galaxy S25 family, Samsung is now rolling out the same update to the Galaxy S24 series. Also, Google’s August software can be found on the Galaxy S24 FE smartphone. The firmware version for the Galaxy S24 series is S928NKSS9BYG8, which comes in a 315MB file size. The fan edition has been received with S721NKSS6BYG2 in the same file size. The new security patch comes with fixes for critical and high-level vulnerabilities in the existing One UI software.

As per Samsung’s note, it fixes one critical issue and 21 other high-level software issues. Both devices are close to getting the One UI 8 beta software. Samsung has yet to announce a beta testing program for both gadgets, though we are confident it could happen this month, at least for the regular Galaxy S24 series.
In a firmware database server, we have found testing firmware for One UI 8 beta so that we can count on it. To get the current One UI 7-based August 2025 security patch on your phone, head to Settings and then Software Update. If you experience anything different in the new code, then you can share it with us.
