Casio announced to launch its latest Pro Trek Smart Smartwatch with heart rate monitoring feature onboard. Though most of the manufacturers are focussing on the fitness aspect, this is the company’s first Wear OS smartwatch to be equipped with a heart rate monitor feature. This feature allows users to stay updated with their heart-related information in real-time. With the addition of an optical-based monitor, the Pro Trek Smart WSD-F21HR enables the users to monitor their heart situation with optimum accuracy.
The Pro Trek Smart smartwatch runs on Google’s Wear OS and creates the perfect ecosystem at your wrist. It gives you access to notifications, Google Voice Assistant and many other features. The latest watch model comes with a Heart rate watch face that switches to the heart rate monitor screen as the movement detected in the accelerometer motion sensor.
Heart Rate Monitoring to Track your health
Obviously, the heart rate monitor is the most notable feature of the watch, as it is incorporated for the very first time in Casio’s outdoor smartwatch range.
In the upcoming smartwatch, we can expect all the features available in the last Pro Trek watch model in addition to a few advanced features. It comes with a dual-layer display, inbuilt GPS with the ability to download offline maps and 5ATM water resistance along with the durability of the military standard.
On the aspect of apps, Casio has made the watch compatible with download apps and introduced an improved version of the Activity App. Now Activity app offers profiles for running and trail running with customization option to include HR data.
For the Casio’s latest Pro Trek Smart WSD-F21HR there is little improvement on the battery aspect. According to Casio if you use GPS and heart rate monitor, you can expect 20 hours of battery life and 1.5 days in normal mode.
Pro Trek Smart smartwatch is priced for $499 and expected to launch in September with Black & Red color options. Very soon, this watch will be available at selected jwellery & watch retailers in the US.
