Huawei has officially announced a launch date for HarmonyOS powered the first smartwatch on June 2nd. The first wearable to run on Huawei’s nurtured HarmonyOS or Hongmeng OS will be Huawei Watch 3. According to the rumors, in the same event, Huawei could launch a more powerful Watch 3 Pro smartwatch in the advanced category. Huawei has prepared for a long to see this day. After breaking its partnership with Google and other US-based companies, Huawei has been focusing on its home-grown operating system for its smartphones and wearables.
The result day has come, and the tech industry will now see another platform in a wearable world. The company has today posted an announcement banner on its official Weibo page in China. The event will take place in the home country. As per the sources and based on previous information, Watch 3 Pro will bring eSIM support. It will cut the need of carrying a smartphone with you when you are roaming or running in the park. Users can also make calls and answer them via microphone and speaker.
The smartwatch will carry ECG & SpO2 functions along with other essential health tools. The smooth performance and innovative hardware will make sure to run for 2 weeks on a single charge. The Watch 3 Pro with HarmonyOS will also open doors for third-party developers to launch apps, games, and dials. The Watch GT 2 Pro is the only watch that supports third-party apps, and a new one will join it. Huawei will introduce it first in China, and later in other countries.
