First Mi Watch Update & iOS Support to Release in December

The news coming from China and confirmed by Qu Heng, general manager at Xiaomi ecological chain, has mentioned that the first update for Mi Watch is going to release in the first week in December. The next version will take care of minor issues on the Xiaomi’s first smartwatch by fixing various bugs. It is also the news that from December, eSIM can be used to watch. The improvements will come to Bluetooth pairing with smartphones and the fixes for the notification prompt.

The biggest news is from December Xiamo will launch an iOS app for Mi Watch to connect Apple users to the smartwatch. In the beginning, Xiaomi only released the Android app and now the company is to introduce the watch worldwide and the company doesn’t want to miss Apple users. The app & dial market and improvements to the input method as well as weather widget will be the main changes in the next software.

To remind you, Xiaomi launched Mi Watch last month with Wear OS masked MIUI version. It supports NFC, eSIM card, 4G LTE, GPS, fitness sensors and personal voice assistant. It runs on Snapdragon 3100 chipset and has 1GB RAM to run it smoothly and 8GB storage to save music and images. Xiaomi said there are over 40+ apps preloaded on the watch and promised to introduce more in the coming weeks. The Mi Watch is now available to purchase in China and soon makes debut in other countries.
