Fitbit’s two new smartwatches, Fitbit Sense & Fitbit Versa 3 are ready to receive their first major update since the launch. Both wearables launched with Fitbit 4.x version, but now the new 5.0 version brings lots of changes to the watches to enhance the quality. The company says it comes with meaningful improvements to watch interface. It comes to the stunning new visual system, faster navigation, and general usability improvements designed to the watches. The version brings better UI to fit the squircle display.
With the changed interface, now the swiping from the left side to the right will takes you one step back. The button on the left side will bring you back to the main screen or home display. Almost all wearables give physical buttons on the right side, but Fitbit offers you on the left side. The new system font Raiju has added to the Fitbit Sense & Versa 3. The new font is suitable to show you a notification in a more readable view, and it also gives more space on the screen. All the elements icon, background, tiles, buttons, and colors have changed.
For more room on the screen, button size, icon size, text size, and tap targets have changed to increase user accessibility. The Fitbit 5.0 SDK is now open for developers to create quality apps for watches. The update will soon available for Fitbit Sense and Versa 3 watches all over the world. Sadly, the new update will not come to any older watches including Versa 2, Ionic, and Versa Lite.
