Fossil Gen 6 will Launch Soon, Expects Wear OS 3 & Wear 4100 Chipset

Before Samsung could unveil Galaxy Watch 4 & Watch 4 Classic, Fossil has given a big surprise. Google’s long-going partner Fossil has unexpectedly sent out emails to its existing customers about the next Gen 6 watches. Yes, you heard right. This time, it is official and came straight from Fossil itself. The company has teased the “Way More, Way Faster” banner in the email and posted Gen 6 is coming. In the previous Google post, the company has mentioned Wear OS 3 version will come to the upcoming Fossil Gen 6 series, which will launch later this year.

Still, there is space for doubt whether the watches will run on the newest software along with launching, or they will get updated later in 2022. At this moment, we only know Samsung & Google has tied up for Galaxy Watch 4 series, and they will be the first wearables to taste OS 3.0 version from the beginning. Fossil Gen lineup is premium series, and always applause with Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon Wear processors. Gen 4 had received Wear 2100 & Gen 5 got Wear 3100 chipsets in the back days.

Now, Gen 6 will run on Wear 4100 processors with improved speed and battery life. There is no single leak for the next Fossil watches, so we are noob about it. As the company itself has mentioned its existence, we could hear more about it in the next few weeks or months. With the Fossil Gen 6, Galaxy Watch 4, Fitbit Sense 2 & TicWatch Pro 3, the Wear OS platform will become more powerful.
