The new report from South Korea claims Samsung will bring OIS or optical image stabilization camera function to the mid-range smartphones. The Galaxy A series, which is one of the most selling categories by the company in mid-range to get the function next year. In the last few years, Samsung is facing tough competition from many Chinese smartphone companies. Xiaomi’s Redmi Note series, Oppo, Vivo, OnePlus & Realme are few of those companies. Now, to compete with these companies Samsung wants to improve the camera quality of both front & rear sensors.
It is not the first time Samsung decided to bring an optical image stabilization function to the high-end Galaxy A series of devices. Now, it looks Samsung has finally come to the final decision so we could see the first device with the OIS feature on Galaxy A series. As per the rumors, Galaxy A72 will be the first smartphone to get the OIS to show its camera capabilities. Right now, we don’t have any information about the Galaxy A72, but the major upgrade from Galaxy A71 will come to the smartphone.
In the mid category, the company has Galaxy A31, Galaxy A51 & Galaxy A71, which has shown some tremendous growth in the last few quarters. In the top-selling phones along with Redmi 8 & Redmi Note 8, Samsung’s galaxy A10s & A20s are doing a good job. The current Galaxy A50, Galaxy M31, Galaxy A80 & Galaxy A50s are some of the best Galaxy A lineup smartphones. We need to look at what Samsung brings to the next A lineup in 2021.
