Samsung has unveiled its second-generation Galaxy Fit 2 fitness tracker with improved functions over the Galaxy Fit & Fit e. Last month, we have seen the most advanced Galaxy Watch 3 smartwatch from the company, and the top-notch earbuds Galaxy Buds Live. Though, the event was missed two important devices of this year – the foldable phone and a smart band. Now, the Galaxy Z Fold 2 and Galaxy Fit 2 will make the space in top categories in their segments. Samsung claimed Fit 2 will offer 15 days of battery life in a single charge, and charging time will also faster than before.
The battery life is pretty impressive than the other trackers like Fitbit Charge 4 & Fitbit Inspire 2. The Fitbit activity trackers let you drive up to 10 days, so the 15 days battery life is 50% more than what these two offers. The 159 mAh battery will extend further when you use it in power saving mode by subtracting some functions. The working display of the band is 1.1-inch, which is similar to what Xiaomi has on Mi Smart Band 5. It will detect 5 different activities and offers burned calories, heart rate, step counter, sleep, swim, and other workout modes.
At this moment, it is the only information company has shared with us. Samsung website mentions the Galaxy Fit 2 will launch and goes on shipping from October 2. The revealed images show two watch faces and more will be in the store. I also expect features like SpO2, period tracker, and voice assistant on the band. The smart tracker has to compete with Amazfit Band 5, Mi Band 5, Fitbit Charge 4 and Inspire 2 when it lands in the market.
