Samsung is now rolling out major software version Android 10-based One UI 2.1 for mid-range Galaxy M31 & Galaxy M01s smartphones. The firmware version M315FXXU2ATI4 is releasing for Galaxy M31 & the version M017FXXU1BTI5 is for Galaxy M01s. Both the devices also upgraded to the September Android security patches. Note that, the One UI 2.1 version for M series is different than what we see on flagship & some A Series smartphones. In the latest version, both devices get features like digital wellbeing, device care, parental control in Digital wellbeing, navigation gestures, and changed icons & colors. It also brings enhancements to the night mode function.
Samsung has changed the name of Night mode to dark mode. Well, it will not change anything, but the company has now darkened wallpapers, widgets, and alarms while the mode is on. The users will see clearer app icons & system colors along with better layouts for titles and buttons to reduce extra space. You can now get more detailed battery usage of Galaxy M31 & Galaxy M01s. In Digital wellbeing, users can watch their kid’s usage by using new parental control. Also, users can set goals to check their phone use & focus mode to help avoid distractions from the smartphone.
It has also added new navigation gestures on both smartphones and the new Trash feature in Contacts. In the Trash, you will see your deleted numbers for the next 15 days. Finally, the Single Take function has now come to camera on Galaxy M31. Along with it, both devices received enhanced security & stability by squashing minor bugs. The latest One UI 2.1 update for Galaxy M31 & M01s is now available in India. You can check the update manually from Settings – Software update.
