In the mid-range Galaxy M series, Galaxy M15 & Galaxy M17 received the latest software update. Now, the last year’s Galaxy M35 has received the same treatment. The new firmware is now being distributed in India with the new M356BXXS6CZA4. The update is based on One UI 8.0 and runs on Android 16, ensuring that Galaxy M35 users continue to receive up-to-date security enhancements and a reliable software experience.
The new firmware carries the January 1, 2026, security patch level. This patch addresses various security vulnerabilities found in earlier builds and improves overall device protection. Samsung also mentions that once the update is installed, users will not be able to downgrade to an older software version due to changes in the security policy.

The update comes with a download size of around 338.77 MB, making it a manageable update for most users. While no major new features are listed, the focus of this release is on improving system stability, fixing known issues, and enhancing overall performance. Users may also notice smoother operation and better reliability after installing the update.
The rollout is currently live in India and may reach all Galaxy M35 units in phases, depending on region and network conditions. Users can check for the update by navigating to Settings, then Software update, and tapping on Download and install. Keeping the device updated ensures better security and long-term performance.
