The latest tipster about the upcoming Galaxy Note 20 lineup has indicated that the lineup will get the Galaxy Note 20 Ultra 5G model. Like the Samsung Galaxy S20 series launched earlier this year, the upcoming Galaxy Note 20 lineup will also feature an Ultra edition. According to previous leaks, it was assumed that there will be only Standard and the larger Note 20+ variants. However, the latest tipster indicates the appearance of one more giant device in the series.
The appearance of the Galaxy Note 20 Ultra model has spotted for the first time in the Bluetooth SIG certification process recently. This Bluetooth certification carries the model number SM-N986U. The listed model number is similar to the Galaxy Note 20+ 5G version and it was also listed by the Greekbench in April. From this document, we can further assume that the Galaxy Note 20+ would instead brand as a premium Ultra model and thereby substituting the Plus model.
Ultra branding is the new line of branding from Samsung which has introduced it with the Galaxy S20 series. So we can probably guess that in the upcoming Galaxy Note 20 lineup there will be the high-end Galaxy Note 20 Ultra edition instead of the Galaxy Note 20+. The rumored features of Galaxy Note 20+ have striking similarities with the Galaxy S20 Ultra. It will come with the 108MP Samsung ISOCELL Bright HM1 as the main camera and 12MP Telephoto lens. All other probable features like display and battery also will be highly similar to Galaxy S20 Ultra.
Although there was no such device in the pipeline until recently, we can still hope the all-new Note 20 Ultra model with higher specs. This is a great deviation from the last year’s Galaxy Note 10 series in which there was an affordable lite edition. The upcoming Galaxy Note 20 series may get its first Ultra branding anyway, either the substitute for Note 20+ or the new one with the powerful specs onboard. To be more sure about this Galaxy Note 20 Ultra smartphone we have to wait until the official announcement. The upcoming Galaxy Note 20 lineup expected to launch in August this year.
