As promised by the company, Galaxy Note 9 users are now receiving One UI 2.5 update. At the launching of the Note 20 series, Samsung mentioned bringing this major update to 2018’s flagship model and now the users are receiving it. The firmware version N960FXXU6FTJ3 with the October security patch is now rolling out. Surprisingly, the firmware has brought the Wireless Dex feature to the phone. The Samsung representative had told that some functions might be missing from the device, but it is good that most of the functions are the part of the update.
In the camera feature, users can use Single Take to take the duration of recording and also can select video recording resolution and frame rate in 24, 30 & 60 fps in a pro mode. The updated keyboard can be used in split landscape mode and the ability to search for YouTube videos. With the Message app, you can send SOS every 30 minutes for 24 hours. Apart from these functions, you will get some other features. There is no word on other features, though you can check it yourself.
The new firmware for Galaxy Note 9 is now rolling out in Germany and soon it will reach in other countries. The One UI 2.5 update will also distribute to the Galaxy S9 & S9+ users. I guess that will happen next week. Samsung has excluded Galaxy S9 & Note 9 devices from its three-year Android update program, so this might be the last major update for both these flagship phones.
