Samsung is reportedly gearing up for a major shake-up in its flagship smartphone lineup with the upcoming Galaxy S26 lineup. According to fresh leaks from reliable tipster Digital Chat Station, the standard Galaxy S26 model will be replaced by a brand-new Galaxy S26 Pro, signaling a big change in Samsung’s naming strategy.
The Galaxy S26 Pro with model number SM-S9420 is said to feature a 6.27-inch display, making it slightly larger than its predecessor. Another notable improvement is the rumored 4,300 mAh battery, an upgrade from the Galaxy S25’s 4,000 mAh cell, which is also bigger than the S26 Edge. It will also receive the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 for Galaxy chip, so there will be an increase in performance.

Camera upgrades are also expected, with the S26 Pro reportedly getting a new primary sensor for improved image quality, along with selfie boost. However, exact details about the sensor remain under wraps for now. If true, this could mean better low-light photography, faster autofocus, and enhanced color accuracy compared to the current generation.
While Samsung has not officially confirmed these changes, the leak aligns with earlier rumors suggesting a more premium baseline model and design refinements across the series. With the expected launch still months away, more details about chipset performance, camera specs, and design will likely surface soon.
