The flagship smartphones of 2018, Galaxy S9/S9+ & Galaxy Note 9 have scheduled to receive One UI 2.1 update in June. Now, the month has already started and completed the first five. Some eagerly waited customers are again asking customer care to tell the exact date. Finally, after so many complaints, the moderator at Samsung Community forum says that the One UI 2.1 update will be releasing in Mid-June. The representative hasn’t revealed any specific date and just confirmed with Mid-June.
Further, he has also revealed some of the features for Galaxy S9, Galaxy S9+ & Galaxy Note 9. The devices will get the Zoom Animation app with all the features. There is another feature, Pro Mode Video is only coming for Galaxy Note 9, by abandoning Galaxy S9/S9+ smartphones. On the clarification, he said, Galaxy S9 & Galaxy S9+ hardware will not support to the Pro Mode Video mode function. It is the reason Pro Mode Video mode has only applied to Galaxy Note 9, which is spec-wise more advanced than the S9 series.
As per the previous replies from the official team, Bixby Routines will not be coming to any devices. The best part is the Single Take, Music Share & Quick Share functions will be part of the next One UI 2.1 firmware version. To get a new firmware version, users need to wait another week or two.
