Galaxy Watch 4 & Active 4 Passed FCC Certification

The upcoming two major smartwatches from Samsung has today cleared FCC certification to move one inch ahead. The FCC certification site indicates the launching date for both the devices is near. This year, Samsung will continue both Galaxy Watch & Galaxy Watch Active series with Galaxy Watch 4 & Active 4 devices. The watches will come with Wi-Fi only & Wi-Fi + LTE variants. The model number SM-R880 is for Wi-Fi only Galaxy Watch 4 & SM-885 is for LTE variant. The Galaxy Watch Active 4 Wi-Fi only model has SM-R870 & LTE variant has SM-R875 model numbers.

In the last few years, Samsung has launched either one of the device evrry year. Last year we have seen Galaxy Watch 3 & before that we got our hand on Galaxy Watch Active 2 smartwatch. This year though, we will see both the premium series. It is now old news about Samsung’s decision to adopt Wear OS by Google software instead of home-grown Tizen OS. The leak was sure about Tizen OS on one of these flagship model, but now that not going to happen. The Blood Glucose feature may not also launch this year and that could launch with Galaxy Watch 5.

Galaxy Watch 4 & Active 4

In the confirm news, Galaxy Watch 4 & Galaxy Watch Active 4 will come with SpO2, ECG, Blood Pressure, VO2 Max, advanced sleep sensor, water resistance, automatic workout modes, call answering and stress monitoring functions. Both will get Play Store on the board and Google services like Google Keyboard & Assistant. The launching date for Galaxy Watch 4&Active 4 is in August.
