Galaxy Watch 7 Receives Stable One UI 8 Watch Update

October 13, 2025

After a long wait, Samsung has officially begun releasing the stable One UI 8 Watch update for the Galaxy Watch 7 in South Korea. This rollout comes three months after the beta version first became available and brings a host of performance enhancements, new features, and system optimizations to Samsung’s popular smartwatch series. Built on Wear OS 6, the One UI 8 Watch update represents one of the biggest software upgrades for Galaxy smartwatches so far.

The rollout initially began with the Galaxy Watch 8 earlier today and is now expanding to Galaxy Watch 7 users, particularly those who were part of the beta testing phase. The update bears the firmware version L310XXU1BYI4 and includes the September 2025 security patch, which improves device protection and system stability.

For users who participated in the beta program, the update weighs around 160MB, while non-beta users will need to download a larger package of about 2GB. To install it, open the Galaxy Wearable app on your smartphone, go to Watch settings > Watch software update > Download and install, and tap Install now after the download completes. Your smartwatch will automatically restart to finalize the process.
