In the special Galaxy Note 10 event, Samsung has revealed Galaxy Watch Active 2 Under Armour Edition. It is the first Samsung smartwatch dedicated to any third-party ventures to create fitness environment. Under Armour has released MapMyRun & Endomondo apps with all the support for Samsung smartwatches. The original Watch Active 2 was launched a few days ago with some impressive features, the most notable is its electrocardiogram (ECG) sensor. For the quality concern and some authority test ECG will be active from the first half of 2020.
After Apple Watch Series 4, it is the second watch to get this health feature and first-ever non-Apple watch. In the Under Armour edition, MapMyRun will be pre-installed and it will be $30 more expensive than the original Bluetooth-only model. Sadly, it will not be available in the LTE version.
Apple & Nike have worked together to make sure all the fitness-centric users get maximum benefits from their Apple Watch. The Nike+ edition of Apple Watch Series 4 can also track Nike shoes & other items that create a healthy environment for runners & other trainers.
The Under Armour had tried to launch its trackers, but the project failed so it now collaborates with Samsung. Both companies have a vast customer base and the new services will give them more reasons to buy new Galaxy Watch Active 2 if the company provides better services.
The Under Armour special edition will go on sell on September 27, on the same date with the original watch. The price for special edition has set to $309 in the US market and it will hit in the major markets till the end of this year. The price & availability has not disclosed for India.
