The Forerunner series of Garmin smartwatches have received two new devices in the lineup. The Garmin Forerunner 55 & Forerunner 945 LTE are two new watches to continue the legacy of previous models. The Forerunner 55 is a fresh new watch with lots of innovative features, though the other is the LTE variant of the Forerunner 945 wearable. The Forerunner 55 gets a fresh new design over the last model, and it offers GPS with live tracking in running mode. Users can share live locations with their friends and family when they are running outdoor.
The watch 55 is for health-centric users, and we can find many features to target them. It has metrics for cadence, Garmin Coach to guide users in workout modes, and the PacePro feature. In the GPS mode, Forerunner 55 gives 20 hours of battery life, and without GPS mode, it can run for two weeks on a single charge. The design comes with color dimension, but the display is the same as before. It misses Garmin Pay & Music storage option from the list. Users can’t save any music on the watch, nor they can make payment.
The Forerunner 945 LTE will let users forget their smartphones at home. Users can go anywhere without their mobile and make calls with the bundled plans. All the other features on the watch are the same as before. Both these new watches support smart notifications and also receive audio messages from apps. The Forerunner 55 is available for $200 in all the countries. The Forerunner 945 LTE has priced at $650, and for now only available to purchase in the US market.
