Garmin Launches Star Wars-Themed Smartwatches

Garmin has launched loads of smartwatches in its premium line-up in the IFA event. It has introduced Fenix 6 series & some MARQ series watches for the last few months. Last week, Garmin launched MARQ Commander in its MARQ line-up. Today, the company has unveiled two new smartwatches in the market. The Star-War inspired wearables will two main characters from the famous saga – the Jedi & Darth Vader. The first ‘Rey’ watch, which represents Jedi comes with bright paint color & silver stainless still bezel. It also has quoted ‘Nothing is Impossible’ quote.

The Rey smartwatch has a 1.1-inch display, 7 days of battery life, 5 hours battery life in GPS mode & music. The other Darth Vader is slightly bigger than the other one. It comes with a 1.3-inch display, 8 days battery life in normal usage & 6 hours battery life GPS mode with music playing.

The Rey counts 40g weight & Darth Vader is 50.5g in size. This edition has quoted Sith Lord’s ‘Rule the galaxy’ quote. The Darth Vader edition has two black straps – black leather & black silicone.

New Garmin WatchThese are the only differences both watches have, even the price for both is the same – $399. The other features on both wearables are – health tracking, GPS, Garmin Pay, Amazon Music, smart notifications, fitness tracking, playback music control, access to the Garmin IQ Store, On-screen workouts and many fitness features.

The newly added fitness features are added on the watch like 20 in-built indoor & outdoor workouts. These features have added to the Garmin Forerunner 945, 245, 245M, Mark Athlete & Fenix 6 series in the last update. Both Rey & Darth Vader smartwatches will go on sale in the coming weeks in the US & later in remaining countries. If you are a Star War fan then you might go with one of these watches otherwise both have nothing new in the hardware or software side.
