Garmin Releases New Updates for Vivoactive 3 Music & Vivoactive 4/4S

The two major smartwatches in Garmin Vivoactive series are currently receiving new software updates. The Vivoactive 3 Music & Vivoactive 4/4S series smartwatches have now upgraded to the SW 5.80 & SW 4.90 respectively. Unlike the beta versions of the Fenix 6 & Marq series watches, these are the stable versions. You can automatically download & install the stable versions from the Garmin Connect Mobile app. In the latest versions, both Garmin Vivoactive 3 Music & Vivoactive 4/4S watch enhanced with existing features.

As per the changelog, Vivoactive 4 & Vivoactive 4S will see a bump in battery life after the current firmware. It fixes the issues with Connect IQ watch faces & Connect IQ data field that increases the battery life. It will be too soon to post the judgment, so you can tell it after you use the newer software. Also, the update comes with improvements to the Wi-Fi connectivity and status messages. Apart from these, SW 4.90 software brings fixes to the Golf widget, heart rate broadcasting, and improvements to stability.

The SW 5.80 for Vivoactive 3 Music also enhanced with many fixes, and the notable change here is the ability to address integer overflow and bounds check vulnerabilities in CIQ virtual machine. Also, it has tackled issues to improve music experience and Wi-Fi as well as messaging services. There are not any additional functions added for both Vivoactive 3 Music & Vivoactive 4/4S smartwatches. The new software version is distributing in stages of 20% users.
