In the talk with the XDA Developers team, Qualcomm spokesperson answered that the smartwatches running on Snapdragon Wear 3100 & Wear 4100 chipset will receive the next major update. Now, in the surprise twist, Google’s spokesperson has unconfined the possibilities. Google has announced Wear OS 3.0 update last month, and now premium watches are in line to get the newest firmware. The upcoming software has many features and smooth performance with improved battery life, which is ice on the cake.
It is said that most of the flagship models will get the firmware with all the goodies. It is the reason, Qualcomm members promised users to deliver a new version. In the market, only two watches running on Snapdragon Wear 4100 chipset. Mobvoi TicWatch Pro 3 & recently launched TicWatch E3 are the only devices running on the new chipset. Most of the watches have been packed with Wear 3100 chipset. Now, Google says, it still needs to decide which smartwatch will get the update. Google says it will review the products, and then they will confirm it.
On the news of Qualcomm, Google said, the user experience will be the most crucial priority for the company. Further, the company says the technical requirements of the device will need to support along with all components are well optimized. Right now, it is unconfirmed which smartwatches will upgrade to the newer version. As per our information, Fossil Gen 5 Series, Oppo Watch, Suunto 7, Suunto 9, TicWatch Pro 3 & TicWatch E3 will be first in line.
