Wear OS by Google is always a part of the debate when it compares with WatchOS & Tizen. Even when, the Play Store for Wear OS has plenty of apps, many customers found it poor in performance. One of such improvement update is coming for a Wear OS users. Google has today officially announced the upcoming firmware version.
The new version will focus on slowness or late response of the system by improving CPU performance. As the company claims, the firmware will speed up system performance by 20% compared to the current version. The next Qualcomm Snapdragon 4100 & 4100 Plus processor will also take support in the version. Hope the future smartwatches like Fossil, Oppo, Mobvoi, Puma will take advantage of it to create snappier results. We will see the next wave of watches running on Snapdragon 4100 & 4100 Plus next fall.
Also, it will deliver updated UI that will offer a better environment for managing different watch modes and watch faces. Further, the pairing of the smartwatch with a smartphone will be speedier. The Wear OS will also get a new Weather app later this year. The app will show weather alert and hourly data in a glance.
