Honor Band 5i has completed more than a month in India since its launch date. When the company launched this affordable fitness band, many users grabbed it in the first sale but got disappointed when saw some key features were missing on the tracker. The Music Control & Blood Oxygen monitoring or SpO2 functions were missing at launch. Now, after the months of passing, Honor has released a new firmware update that unlocks SpO2 features for the Indian users. The latest version 188.8.131.52 is now rolling out in the country with 4.12 MB download.
In the first launch week, Honor has already seeded Music Control function on Band 5i, and now it activated SpO2. Actually, both features supposed to come pre-installed and the official website page & dedicated page on Amazon had also advertised it that way. Although when users received the product, then they realized both are missing from the tracker. Because of this confusion, most customers had returned the product even when, after a few days, Honor promised to install these features in the next updates. This is the reason you can see poor ratings on Amazon for the Honor Band 5i.
To install the latest update on Honor Band 5i, go to the Huawei Health app and download it. It is an affordable model of Band 5, which compromises some features to reduce the price. It offers a 0.96-inch display, 91mAh battery, USB-A plug & charge, Truseen 3.5 heart rate monitoring and water-resistant up to 50 meters.
