Back in August, Huami CEO Huang Wang made a statement about Mi Band 5. He said the company is working with Xiaomi to build the next Mi Band 5 tracker. Today, Huang Wang, the CEO at Huami, has confirmed it and said Huami & Xiaomi is working on many projects and the next band is one of them. Point to be noted, he says there is no exclusive agreement between both companies about creating smart wearables but both companies are co-working together as a two way choice.
The Huami CEO mentioned it in the annual strategic media communication meeting about the deals and its relationship with Xiaomi. He said, Huami has manufactured all Mi Bands for Xiaomi and successfully released in the market, and it will do it in the future. Last month, Xiaomi launched the first smartwatch Mi Watch with Wear OS without the help of Huami. It is the first wearable that Xiaomi has manufactured without taking any help from Huami. In the future, We can see more wearables from Xiaomi instead of Huami under the name of the Xiaomi brand.
