Huami confirmed that it is working with Xiaomi on the development of next-generation Mi Band 5. In a Q&A session held after the Huami’s Q2 2019 earning calls, it revealed that the company is working with Chinese tech giant Xiaomi to develop Mi Band 5 fitness tracker. The information is revealed by the Wang Huang, Chief executive officer of Huami. In response to a question about Huami’s future product lineup, he replied that the development of Mi Band 5 is already in the process, though not a fixed launching schedule.
Xiaomi’s fitness bands always packed with several impressive features and in an affordable range. Recently the company announced Mi Band 4 with various new features. And now both the companies are cooperating to develop the next version of the Mi fitness tracker.
As the company has just launched Band 4 fitness tracker, it is predicted that the next fitness tracker will be potentially launched towards the next year. After the product being prepared, the company will announce the launching schedule.
Xiaomi Mi Band 5 is in Development
The most challenging thing for the Xiaomi is to offer various incredible features in the affordable range. Every device added to Mi Band product lineup comes with new features including the latest color touchscreen display, improved tracking environment and various other innovative features.

According to Wang Huang, the company is working towards the next generation of Mi band, he didn’t mention about the features being packed.
