Huawei has finally taken another road from traditional Android & Wear OS path. It has launched its home-made HarmonyOS 2.0 operating system for the smartphones, smartwatches & other devices. In that, today Huawei introduced first smartwatch running on the new platform. The Huawei Watch 3 & the more powerful Huawei Watch 3 Pro are the first devices to run on the new OS. The new platform allow users to download and install apps & Watch faces from the AppGallery. It is like Play Store or App Store for Huawei devices to download lots of apps & games.
The Huawei Watch 3 sports 1.43-inch display with AMOLED screen and 326ppi pixel density. In the health section, users will get heart rate monitoring, sleep tracking, blood oxygen measurement, and the new health skin feature. The stress & breathing, over 100 sports modes, GPS, and 5ATM water resistance are few essential additions on the watch. The Huawei Watch 3 comes with 3 days of battery life, smart notifications, eSIM functionality, and 2GB RAM & 16GB internal storage are other features.
With the more powerful functions, Huawei launched Watch 3 Pro smartwatch. It got titanium variant with digital bezel around the display. It runs for 5 days in single charge, and in Ultra power saving mode, it extends to 21 days. The pre-orders for the new watches will start from tomorrow in China. The Huawei Watch 3 is available for $410 and the Watch 3 Pro is available for $515 in the home country.
