The new Huawei Watch D has been discovered by the media sources that will bring two major health functions. This year, Huawei has launched Watch 3 & Watch 3 Pro wearables, powered by their home-nurtured HarmonyOS 2. The Watch 3 series is one of the strongest lineups that could compete with Samsung & Apple wearables. Though they are most advanced, they lack blood pressure & body composition features. Samsung has both these features on Galaxy Watch 4 & Watch 4 Classic, and the previous Watch 3 has blood pressure monitoring.
Huawei wants to launch these features with their Watch D model, which doesn’t reveal its name mystery yet. According to the filing at European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO), Huawei has filed new BP & Body fat features.
In the filing, it has mentioned – use in medical analysis; heart rate monitoring apparatus; arterial blood pressure measuring apparatus; blood pressure monitors.
It also intends to launch a smartwatch that doesn’t rely on medical equipment to measure blood pressure as Samsung watches do.
It is unclear, whether a user needs only a Huawei phone to use the function, or it will work with other non-Huawei phones. The smartwatch release date is not mentioned anywhere in the listing, but in primary guess, it may launch in the first half of next year. It could run with the next major HarmonyOS firmware. It is too early to receive other leaks about the Huawei Watch D or its images.
