In the special event, Huawei has unpacked Watch GT 2 with advanced Kirin A1 processor and long-lasting 14 days battery. The Huawei Watch GT 2 comes with rounded slimmer bezels compared to last year’s model. The watch offers two choices – 42mm size & 46mm size, both come with the same 1.39-inch always-on OLED display. The smaller 42mm watch has 16MB RAM & 4GB internal storage while the 46mm version gives 32MB RAM & 4GB storage space. It may look like less RAM on both models, but the watch runs on Huawei’s Lite OS, which consumes less battery than Wear OS.
You heard right, the Huawei Watch GT 2 runs on Lite OS instead of Wear OS, actually previous models were too running on Lite OS. Like Samsung, Fitbit, Amazfit & Xiaomi, Huawei has also abandoned Wear OS for its watch os. The Lite OS is new to the platform and you may miss some of your essential apps or features on the watch if you have come from other platforms.
