Huawei Watches Will Get Celia as a Replacement of Google Assistant

After the shut down of Google Apps & services of Huawei devices, Huawei is searching for better replacements. The new HarmonyOS for Wear OS, AppGallery for Play Store, and DailyMotion for YouTube are few such replacements that have been made by the Chinese company. Now the new report coming from Wareable claims Huawei will introduce Celia AI voice assistant on Watch GT smartwatches. The director of the smartwatch division Duan Mengran has confirmed this news to the Wareable.

The replacement will come for Google Assistant for all the supported Huawei smartphones and smartwatches. As per the report, Huawei Watch GT 2 will be the first wearable to receive the Celia AI, and later the service would come to Watch GT & GT 2e. There are also chances Huawei’s next lineup Mate Watch may also get this personal voice assistant at the launch. The Mate Watch supposed to launch next October, where we will get a clear picture.

The first glance of Celia’s assistant came in light when the company launched Huawei P40 series devices and the EMUI 10.1 software version. Like others, you have to say, “Hey Celia” to get the information or set the alarm. In the market, Samsung has Bixby, Google has Google Assistant, Apple has Siri & Amazon has Alexa for their smartwatches. It could be interesting to see how Celia AI will work on the watches compared to other rivals.
