It is easy to control wireless earbuds or Galaxy Buds on the Galaxy Watch lineup. It has a feature to connect the earbuds to the Samsung watches and control them from the watch. Now, in the new plugin update, Samsung has added one more option. The users can now control Galaxy Buds on their phone using Galaxy Watch 4 & 4 Classic. What’s new? Previously, it could only support Galaxy Buds that connected to watch, but not on phone. With the plugin, Samsung has added support, so users can control Buds connected to a paired smartphone from the Galaxy Watch.
The new plugin is rolling out for Galaxy Buds+, Galaxy Buds Live, Galaxy Buds Pro & Galaxy Buds 2 earbuds. The original Galaxy Buds support has ended and it is not on the list. Further, this feature works only with Samsung’s Wear OS 3 powered Galaxy Watch 4 & Watch 4 Classic. No chance, it will work with older models including Galaxy Watch 3. Using the Galaxy Watch 4, you can control active noise canceling, ambient sound, block touches, and view battery percentage.
To use the feature, install a new plugin, or in Wear OS world, get the new Tiles. The update for the plugin is releasing for Galaxy Buds+, Buds Live, Buds Pro & Buds 2 earbuds. Look in the Galaxy Wearable app for any new plugin update. With the new Galaxy Watch 4, Samsung tries to build a stronger ecosystem for its all products. After launching various apps & services, one more is at your service.
