A week ago, Xiaomi released the latest software version for some Mi band 4 users in few regions. The newest firmware version, V220.127.116.11, had rolled out to improve the overall quality along with the new Mi Fit app update. Now the company is releasing it in more countries, including India, the US & European countries. Due to the COVID-19 virus, the global expansion of firmware release is much slower than compared to the last distribution. It is the first time Xiaomi is that slower to dispatch the new version for the Mi Band 4.
As we said in our last article, the update contains nothing but improvements in the overall quality. Like you, we are also waiting for a major software update from Xiaomi that may roll out with significant functions. The company says the team has fixed known bugs, but I am not sure there was any bug to the wearable. Mi Band 3 for few months hadn’t received any firmware, even not an improvement update though the new tracker has upgraded with it.
To get the new version on your latest band, first, go to Android Play Store or Apple App Store and install the newest version of the Mi Fit app. The Mi Fit app version 4.0.16 is now available in the Play Store & iOS App Store. After that, your fitness band will automatically gain a newer version. Note that, once you upgrade to the latest update there is no way to go back. Also, share your experience with this version and tell us what difference you have observed in it.
