Lenovo is targeting Indian customers with budget-friendly smartwatches. In September, Lenovo launched Carme watch with the same purpose by providing basic features at a low price. Now, at the start of the new year, Lenovo has launched the Ego smartwatch in India for Rs. 1,999. It is even cheaper than Mi Band 4 & Honor Band 5 fitness trackers. It brings most of the features of fitness trackers rather than smartwatches. It focused on fitness & sports functions and came with many health functions.
The 42mm circular display with an anti-reflective monochrome screen consumes less power. Lenovo says the battery on Ego will last long up to 20 days on a single charge, same as Mi offers 20 days battery life on Band 3 & Band 4 wearables. It is capable of alerting you about app notifications. It will notify with different vibrations when you get messages from social media or other apps. The Lenovo Ego offers many sensors to track heart rate, sleep, running, swimming and others.
It is 5ATM water resistance up to 50 meters so you can use it to track your swimming. You can pair the watch with Android & iOS smartphones by using the Lenovo Life app. The app is available in the Play Store & iOS App Store. The Carme watch launched with Rs. 3,999 & the Lenovo Ego is available for Rs. 1,999. It is 50% cheaper than the Carme so make compromises with many functions. The smartwatch is available on Amazon & Flipkart online retailers in India.
